@midnight was back this week with four new episodes at their regularly scheduled 11:59:59pm time slot. Here’s what you missed!
Our fearless leader sang us into a new week of episodes on @midnight this week and welcomed cast members from the delightful comedy Marry Me to the podiums. His musical interlude was in honor of the approaching death of SkyMall, which we learned about Monday morning. The internet has been in mourning ever since. Thanks to Marry Me, the whole episode embraced the theme of drunken bridesmaids, inappropriate toasts, and general rice-induced hilarity. Ken Marino, John Gemberling and Tymberlee Hill sure know how to #RuinAWeddingin5Words.
Snow was on the brain on Tuesday night with Jim Norton, John Roy and Kurt Braunohler. They came up with all kinds of #SnowyCelebrities for you to think about as you dig out from the biggest winter storm of 2015 – well, if you were on the east coast at least. We also learned some extremely disturbing things about coloring books. They aren’t always as innocent as they seem. And to bring some of our childhood nightmares into the real world, here’s what happens when Mario becomes self-aware.
Hardwick kicked off Wednesday night with some serious excitement over the new Ghostbusters cast, and this writer completely agrees with how awesome it’s going to be! Moshe Kasher, Michelle Wolf, and Nikki Glaser were at the podiums and brought some serious literary knowledge to the #RedneckaBook hashtag war. They also learned to appreciate the finer things in life, like vintage water, and learned the finer points of old timey Tinder.
We continued to bask in the hilarity of the east coast snow storm on Thursday night with the Sklar Brothers and Matt Walsh. Ok let’s be honest, this is because New Yorkers do things like go to Craigslist for a snowstorm hook up. As a New Yorker, I fully support this mockery. Chris also shares that he truly understand some nerds do actually like sports, and he makes it clear with #NerdierSports.
