In just seven days, two of the most iconic superheroes will collide in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. And while Batman and Superman are eventually going to team up for the Justice League movies, it’s a pretty safe assumption that they’re going to have an epic throwdown before that happens!
But if you can’t wait a week to hear the music of Batman v Superman, WaterTower Music is streaming the entire soundtrack from composers Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL.
There are 13 tracks on this album, and fortunately, the track titles contain no major spoilers.
Zimmer was one of the primary composers of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy and Man of Steel. And although Zimmer had previously said that he would leave Batman’s new theme to Junkie XL (a.k.a. Tom Holkenborg), Zimmer has revealed that he changed his mind.
“Originally, my plan was — and this is really the truth — ‘Oh yeah, it’s going to be easy, I got that Superman theme, and I’m going to make my friend Tom here write the new Batman theme,’” said Zimmer in an interview with Collider. “And then, I think if I really look back on it, I couldn’t entirely let go. So we had to do it together.”
The track in question is called “Men Are Still Good,” and it’s the final theme on the Batman v Superman soundtrack. Presumably, the “Is She With You?” track is Wonder Woman’s theme for the movie. Batman v Superman opens on Friday, March 25.
