The Marvel Universe’s “favorite” ultra-violent, motormouth, fourth-wall-ignoring mercenary is the star of his own video game coming out this year, and he’d like to tell you all about it. It’s a look into one of the most fractured minds in all of comic books. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
It’s pretty safe to say that the game is not for kids. It’s a hard M (which doesn’t sound nearly as correct as the film world’s “Hard R”), with what we can only imagine will be reservoirs of blood from people Deadpool meets along his journey. What’s the story of the game? What are the stakes? It doesn’t matter all that much, does it? It’s awesome enough that a game such as this is coming out, and being so close to the way we know him in the books. The character in the game is voiced by Nolan North, who has played Deadpool many times in other video games and animated media. He’s a perfect choice, really, and is no stranger to the video game world, being the voice of Nathan Drake in the Uncharted franchise.
No exact date yet for when it’ll come out, but we’re pretty incredibly stoked about it.
