Start spreading the news: Comedy Central’s most prolific comedy duo currently on-air, the brilliant Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, will team up with the NFL to televise the Key & Peele Super Bowl Special. Set to air on Friday, January 30, 2015 (at 10PM if you’re into knowing those sort of details), the one-hour Super Bowl comedy special will use their special brand of satire to have a heck of a lot of fun at football’s expense.
According to a press release, the two comedians will anchor the special very much like any other football game: news-desk style, with a veritable smorgasbord of wacky talking head/personality types, in addition to NFL players themselves.
And if we’re all very good and lucky, we may get ourselves a Super Bowl-centric take on their now-iconic East-West Bowl recurring sketch. You know the one.
