It’s been almost a week since we brought you the story of the Fallout beer, which will be available for purchase soon, but that’s not the only beverage-related promotion Fallout 4 will have this autumn. It was announced on Fallout’s official Twitter page today that Bethesda has teamed up with Jones Soda to create and release their own version of Nuka Cola Quantum, a popular beverage from the Fallout game series, to be sold exclusively at Target stores. The Jones Soda product will go on sale November 10th, the same day that Fallout 4 will be available for purchase.

It is theorized that the product is not any kind of original creation by the soda company, but a repackaging of the Berry Lemonade soda that Jones sells regularly. This, of course, wasn’t a big enough issue for anyone to scoff at Pepsi’s release of Pepsi Perfect for the 30th Anniversary of Back to the Future, so it is doubtful it will be a problem here either. Luckily, Nuka Cola Quantum is limited only in the exclusive deal with Target, and hopefully will not garner the kind of outrage the limited run (and unannounced early sales) of Pepsi Perfect did for Pepsi.
The fictional version of Nuka Cola Quantum glows a phosphorescent blue color, and is described to have “seventeen fruit flavors and that signature cola taste”, as well as a Strontium additive to “give it a kick.” While fans many not gain an Action Point boost from drinking the Jones Soda product, they will thankfully avoid the radiation poisoning that the in-game beverage can cause. We can not speak as to whether it will be as addictive, however.
