Jonah Raydio #43: Day Three of My New Episode

This week we have comedian Nick Youssef and director Stoney Sharp.  We also talk about bad cover songs, we have a Twitter game and the return of music news.  Follow Nick on Twitter @NickYoussef and check out his podcast Occasionally Awesome.  Follow Stoney @StoneySharp and check out his website The Colossal Youth.  If you are going to be in San Francisco Feb. 8 come see us do a live Jonah Raydio at Lost Weekend Video for SF Sketchfest.  Here’s a video of our friend Matt Mira singing some Third Eye Blind.

  1. Lester Green says:

Dirty 5 Thirty Boys? No links to that genius work? Sounds like Jonah in the second verse, is this an inside joke that I am on the outside of?

  2. Lee says:

The Lemuria song is called Brilliant Dancer off of the album The Distance is so Big

  3. turtleflu says:

I really liked the music on this episode! I’ve been digging the Mikal Cronin and Kurt Vile albums.

  4. Raydio raydio says:

I was thinking of the Yardbirds!

Also, thanks for fact checking instead of enjoying everybody!

  5. Frank says:

    Feel like some factoids?
The internet is full of incorrect statements concerning ACME and its origins (including statements by non-historians at WB and on Wikipedia, suggesting the word originates in 1920’s Yellow Pages). It is, and has been for several centuries, a common name for a brand (like Acme Motors est. 1892), because it suggests “the best” (from a greek word for the highest point in a performance area).

  6. rhzunam says:

The guitarrist of Great White did die in the fire tragedy.

  7. turtleflu says:

The Byrds are from LA and David Crosby is still alive
