With a little over a year to go before the release of Joss Whedon’s highly anticipated sequel, Avengers: Age of Ultron, principal photography has gotten underway, and today, we have some leaked set photos of the filming taking place in Italy. Among the gems from a gallery of nearly 30 photos are some looks at Jeremy Renner in a Hawkeye uniform, Aaron Johnson as Quicksilver, and, wait for it, a (possible) first look at the man of the hour, Ultron.
If this is indeed our Ultron, it’s nice to see there will be a blend of both practical effects and CGI used to bring the maniac robot to life, similar to the way Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man was first brought to life in 2008 and beyond.
We’re very far away from any kind of first footage looks, but already this movie seems massive, and it looks good. May 2015 can’t get here fast enough.
