I Collect Bugs.

These are some of the unmounted ones. I bought these guys at an annual bug fair that happens at the Museum of Natural History in LA. No, I’m not a serial killer. I’m just fascinated by Class Insecta…….LADIES???

Someday soon I’ll catalog them all and post a slide show.

I like some bugs, and I respect most bugs, but I don’t like people killing them for collections. =(

Even with your thousands of insects, I still think you need to have a sword or two if you’re going to call yourself a nerd. 😉

I don’t collect actual insects, but when I do take pictures of insects, birds, animals or plants I have an obsessive need to figure out exactly what it is and tag it with its binomial nomenclature. Yes, I am a taxonomy geek…

Looking forward to seeing the collection once you’re got it cataloged!

There’s something about bug collecting I’ve always wondered:
Do you catch them yourself or are there places you can go to purchase interesting bugs?
I really like the idea of a bug store, but I think I’d have more respect catching your own, mainly because I’m terrified of pretty much all bugs.
I respect people who can face my fears so I don’t have to.
(If you can stand to be on a ride at Disneyland when it breaks down and the lights go on, you are the bravest person in the world.)
