I’ve been waiting for a movie where all my favorite ’90s boy-band members unite to fight evil, and that day is finally coming. Dead 7 is a futuristic zombie/western from the makers of Sharknado, starring some Backstreet Boys, an *NSYNC’er, a 98 Degree’er, and four members of O-Town. Nick Carter wrote the script with Sxv’leithan Essex (yep, that’s a real person’s name).
The movie was shot in Butte, Montana over three weeks. Most of the time they were on the side of a mountain, 8,000-feet above sea level enduring 90-degree heat. It was hard work as you can imagine, so every now and then the guys had to take a break. Like, a karaoke break, where they sing along to the classic Backstreet Boys hit, “I Want It That Way.” Stop what you’re doing and watch the above video, because it’s amazing.
Dead 7 is set in a distant post-apocalyptic future after a mysterious zombie outbreak has swept through and destroyed a majority of the population. Carter stars as a stoic cowboy who’s called home when a villainess starts amassing an undead army out of the Rocky Mountain copper mines. These boy bands have never collaborated before, so I’m super excited to see what’s in store for us.
There is currently no release date, but know that these heartthrobs will grace the silver screen sometime in 2016. Are you excited to see Dead 7? Let us know in the comments below.
