  1. Headphones Jeff says:

I teared up a little – but I am pretty sure Hollywood knows which magical notes to play to tug at the heartstrings…

  2. Lady R says:

Despite my general annoyance at the way the last book closed things up, I completely lost my shit when I saw Fred. I actually put the book down and didn’t touch it for at least an hour after reading about that scene, so I apologize in advance to whoever is sitting near me in the theater when I go to check this out.

I will be a inconsolable, sniveling little bitch for at least 10-15 minutes, so feel free to lob popcorn at me.

  3. LAuronist says:

Seriously, I saw Tonks and I LOST IT like the weepy bitch I am. This looks so exciting and beautiful and can I PLEASE see it in 2D if I want to?!?!

I love that half the comments are about boners and jizz. I didn’t get a boner, because…no boner mechanism. Girl parts. But I did weep profusely, tear my hair, gnash my teeth and rend my clothes. And then I came. Nerdgasm!

  5. Katie B says:

@Frank – That scene with Harry and Voldemort jumping off the cliff worries me, too. I haven’t read the book in a while, so I’m trying to scan my memory of what that could be, or if it’s a total change. It seems near the end of the movie so I hope they didn’t totally change that. I need my Neville bad-ass-ness!

  6. Wade says:

Meh. Two movies of the book I MEAN!

I dyslexic yoda today am totally not I think.

  7. Wade says:

HAhahaha. Camping Documentary. It totally was! I mean, I really enjoyed the first part, but after a while I was all “They sure have been out here a long time already.”

I know it made sense structurally given that they were making two books of the movie, but still. Camping camping camping.

  8. I have 5Ds says:

The last movie was a camping documentary. This looks good. I’m ready for the end…in Sony RealD 3D Double D’s. Get your D on!

  9. Frank says:

So this worried me a little bit. DHpt1 was, for the first time, perfect. It was so true to the books, there was no out of place dialogue, they just took the product that we’ve read and fell in love with and finally straight ported it to movie. I have been the harshest critic of the movies and my entire opinion of the movies changed simply because it brought us to that point. While a lot of DHpt2 looks great for the most part, those final scenes with Harry and Voldemort look like they took a lot of liberties again I dont understand why they are jumping off a cliff together in a tight embrace, or fighting with no one else around them. The power of the scene in the great hall where everyone just stopped what they were doing and stared was amazing, and it seems like they are again throwing it away for some contrived dialogue. Of course I’ll still go to the midnight showing, but I fear that I won’t be nearly as pleased as I was with DHpt1.

  10. Matt says:

Oh my… ooooh my. This looks so good, one thing about the HP movies is while they’ve not kept every detail to the letter from the books they’ve been good at capturing the spirit of the material and the last few have been exceptional at doing that. This looks like it’s no exception to that rule. I am very VERY excited.

  11. rich says:

That look totally epic and from the looks of it I don’t think i am going to dislike the fact that they made it a 2 parter for much longer

  12. Lucy says:

This definitely merits taking Friday off from work to see the midnight showing.

  13. Lindsey says:

  14. Rob C says:

@Catherine …that was probably a stray Avada Kadavra curse shot your way. don’t worry i’ll see the movie twice in your memory.

  15. Casey Cook says:

Watching this jacked out of my mind on coffee was a bad idea #heartattackat25

  16. Catherine says:

Watching the TRAILER reduced me to tears. I don’t know how I’m going to get through this. That shot of the Death Eaters launching the attack on Hogwarts just killed me.

  17. Travis e says:

Jizz monkey that was idk jizz

  18. EruditeVixen says:

    @ Chris: I lol’d.

Don’t you know, Harry and Snape fall in love and have tiny little greasy haired emo babies! Everyone knows how it ends.

  19. Chris Hardwick says:

Greg R: And HOW DARE JK Rowling put out the biggest spoilers of all by writing these things called “books”.

  20. Greg R says:

    Love, but damn, spoilers much!

  21. Sean Patrick says:

That trailer just impregnated my soul. My soul then birthed that baby, grew up hot, and then the trailer imprregnated THAT baby. It’s all very messy, but holy balls on a woman does that look incredible…minus the 3-D.

  22. Paul says:

I was totally with it until I saw “Complete the journey in 3D” Of course I won’t be seeing it in the theatre so what am I complaining about…. Looks pretty awesome. I think they are making up for the last one being slow in places…. which reminds me, I should probably rent that.

  23. EruditeVixen says:

    @John Cardwell…it’s okay, it’s natural.

  24. EruditeVixen says:

I think I just came! The Harry Potter fandom melts down easily, but this is the last time we get to lose our shit over it all. I’m all about Rupert Grint’s weird ginger face, but I got a little sad panda seeing Remus and Tonks for that two seconds.

  25. wonk says:

I don’t know where I get the balls to say it, and maybe the 3-D will make it better, but I think the 3-D makes some of the shots look contrived.

  26. Nick Rogers says:

This feels wrong…I dont remember a bridge blowing up or Harry fighting You-Know-Who in the quad at Hogwarts.
Still excited as hell to see this

  27. i’m a little scared… for some reason that trailer excited me… sexually

  28. Firsties!!!!!!
