So many exciting things are happening in the life of Chris Hardwick that we certainly can’t contain them in one post, but it’s pretty freaking exciting to see them happen all over the internet. Here’s a rundown of where you can catch him this week if you missed his live Insta’ing of the Creative Emmys last night.
It was an exciting night for @midnight (Chris and the show WON the Creative Arts Emmy for Social TV Experience), and it will be an equally exciting week with new episodes all four nights. Don’t forget that the episodes this week start at 11pm NOT actual real midnight. Seth Green, Greg Proops, and Craig Ferguson will start the week off on Monday night. Nikki Glaser, Nick Swardson, and Kyle Kinane will entertain on Tuesday night. Wednesday will be a bit of a surprise as Heather Anne Campbell is the only announced guest currently, and Patton Oswalt and Blaine Capatch will finish up the week with another mystery guest on Thursday. Make sure you tune in for all the shenanigans.
The Walking Dead won’t be back until October 11th and thus I don’t have any news for you on the Talking Dead guests yet either. But there will be a special episode of Talking Dead on October 4th so start getting excited for that.
Chris is also back on the road this week with three Funcomfortable shows in Texas. On Thursday, September 17th, he will be in Houston followed by shows in Dallas and Austin on Friday and Saturday respectively. Make sure you hop over to the various ticket sites and get your tickets if you’re in the area.
There will also be three new episodes of the Nerdist Podcast to look forward to this week. Shirley Manson is on the podcast in honor of the 20th anniversary of the release of Garbage‘s self-titled debut album. They will chat about the band, their new album, and fashion icon status. The mystery podcast of the week will be Brian Regan who is both incredibly hilarious and very influential in the stand-up scene. I call it a mystery podcast because it technically hasn’t been recorded yet, so I can’t tell you much more about what they will talk about since it hasn’t happened…yet. And the final podcast of the week will feature writer/actress Andrea Savage. Not only is she promoting her new movie Sleeping With Other People but she’s an old, old pal of Chris’s who saw him through the end of the Peter Hardwick era and helped him become the stellar guy he is today. Needless to say, it’s a big love fest with lots of reminiscing.
As always, and especially today, you’re going to want to keep up with all the engaging things Chris has been up to by following him on social media. He can be found on Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram as Nerdist.
