It’s been a crazy week in nerdy news, and with Sunday here again, it’s time for a rundown of all the excellent spots you can find Chris Hardwick this week.
After tonight’s all new episode of The Walking Dead there will be a new episode of Talking Dead with Alanna Masterson, Ross Marquand, and J.B. Smoove taking to the couch to talk about season 6’s twelfth episode, “No Tomorrow Yet.” Personally, I’m a week behind so I can’t really even tease things that are going to happen, but I am there for Tara and Aaron chatting with Chris and J.B. Smoove!
There are just three new episodes of @midnight this week so make sure you tune in every night to get the most laughs possible. There are Nerdist pals on each episode so it’s going to be a fun week. Doug Benson, Nikki Glaser, and Kyle Kinane will start the week off tomorrow night. Paul F. Tompkins, Jen Kirkman, and Randy Sklar are on the docket for Tuesday night. And they’ll wrap it up on Wednesday with Ron Funches, Jesse Joyce, and Tom Lennon.
As you might have seen on Instagram yesterday, the guest for the Nerdist Podcast this week is none other than acting legend Sally Field. You can look forward to some excellent stories from her, and if Chris’s picture is any indication, some really sweet reminiscence are possible.
Prom pic w/ Sally Field! I don’t think I could love this picture or this lady more. In 2013, I was flying back from my dad’s funeral in Memphis with my mom and she happened to be sitting across the aisle from us. When we landed in LA, there was some kind of melee outside that shut down the terminal so they got us off the plane but we were stuck in the airport for a while not knowing what the hell kind of terrible thing was going on. We chatted for a little bit, laughed and it felt good. She was so sweet. Ultimately, someone had driven their minivan directly into a parking structure outside but for a while it was mysteriously ominous in our post 9/11 world (I was at JFK for that too, so it felt hauntingly familiar). I was dazed, exhausted and spiritually bereft but Sally Field was a beautiful light in the eye of the madness. She came on the podcast a few days ago and I finally got to thank her. She is truly a wonderful and inspirational human. Posts Tuesday!!!
