The holiday season is upon us, and as all our favorite shows go on hiatus, your weekly Hardwatch will be sparse or full completely depending on the comings and goings of our fearless leader. Even he deserves a vacation. Here’s where you can find him this week.
There’s no Talking Dead until The Walking Dead returns in February of 2016, and the Funcomfortable tour will also resume in the new year. Until then, you’re going to have to catch up on @midnight for your regular Chris Hardwick fix. This week, there will be four new episodes with some of our Nerdist pals that you will love seeing.
Monday night, you can see Tom Rhodes face off with Brian Posehn, and Rick Overton. Tuesday night, one of my personal favorites, Maria Bamford, will take on Steve Agee and Dan Telfer. Wednesday night, Randy Liedtke and Hardwick’s pal, April Richardson will face an unknown opponent. And Thursday night, Alice Wetterlund and Jermaine Fowler will meet an equally unknown challenger.
Keep your eyes and ears tuned to the internet this week for three brand new episodes of everyone’s favorite podcast. This go-round, Chris and company will be chatting with The Wonder Years and The Grinder‘s Fred Savage who will likely also talk about directing TV comedy for the past decade. Also, we’ll get an episode with funnyman David Spade, and another with Silverlake, CA shoegaze band, Silversun Pickups. Pretty packed week, no? And if you’re itching for an old favorite or two, I highly recommend you go back and listen to the early years with Aisha Tyler’s first time on Nerdist. It is one of my all-time favorites.
In the mean time, catch Chris on the various social media platforms he haunts. You can find him on Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, and Snapchat, where he has discovered all the fun drawing tools and really likes to modify cat pictures. Seriously, check it out.
