Ah, Stars Hollow. I’ve missed the cozy and quirky setting for the Gilmore Girls, but we’re so close to seeing it again. The Netflix revival is chugging forward, and while we don’t have a premiere date, we do know the return of Lorelai and Rory will be split into four 90-minute movies. And the good folks at Entertainment Weekly recently visited the set to gather more intel for their April 15 issue. If you don’t want to know a thing about what’s ahead for our beloved Gilmores, you should stop reading now. The only slightly spoilery information is the status of Luke and Lorelai and Rory’s current profession. Amy Sherman-Palladino and the cast didn’t give away any huge secrets.
The biggest surprise about the revival? Lorelai and Rory still like coffee. Who could have guessed?
And then there’s this photo to reassure you if you were at all worried Stars Hollow had stopped being offbeat and amazing:
I’m a fan of ’70s Lorelai and Rory. The pic also confirms Sally Struthers is back as Babette, and is that Liz Torres as Miss Patty?
Now, for what you’ve all been waiting for, Luke and Lorelai appear to be together and happy about it. YESSS.
The other key piece of information the pictures reveal? It seems like Rory’s a teacher! Which is great and fitting and also makes me feel old.
You can see a few more images at Entertainment Weekly. Will you be picking up the issue with the Gilmore Girls cover story next week? Let me know in the comments.
