The only thing that could possibly make the Iron Throne more badass would be if it could really rock out, y’know? Thankfully, Gibson guitars has solved that problem by creating a guitar-centric iteration of the Game of Thrones chair in order to really shred those who intend to sit upon its wooden axes (no, not that kind).
Turning any and everyone who sits upon it into the true rock’n’ roll king (or queen!) of Westeros, Gibson took their inventive redesign of George R.R. Martin‘s iconic chair to this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada—no doubt causing a frenzy amongst those there that love the novel and television series. (Hey—can someone tell Jessica Chobot, who is there right now, that we’re going to need her to take a photo atop the Throne?)
Sam Byford over at The Verge managed to snap not only a picture of the magical, musical beast of a chair (fulfilling all of our dreams and becoming the newest envy-inducer in our life) but one of himself looking like the Thurston Moore of the whole of the Known Realm. Winter is coming—and we shall vanquish these white walkers (and their white noise) with the melodic riffage of ten thousand iconic guitars. We shall battle the nightfall with the gift of R-O-C-K, y’all! (Devil horns optional.)
Check out some of the images below (and hop over to The Verge to see the last of ’em):
OK so how badly do you wish this thing was in your house? Let us hear it in the comments.
