Ichabod Crane and Abbie Mills and a fantastic supporting cast of characters swept into our lives and hearts last year in Fox’s Sleepy Hollow. The loose adaptation of Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is set in the modern day and focused on the supernatural. The series starring Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie is spooky, clever, bloody, and surprisingly hilarious. And now, you can find Sleepy Hollow stories other places than your television because the universe is expanding to include books!
Two titles from Random House are set for print and ebook release in September: The Secret Journal of Ichabod Crane and Sleepy Hollow: Children of the Revolution.
The Secret Journal of Ichabod Crane takes a look inside Ichabod’s head as he experiences the wonders of modern age. Written by Alex Irvine, you’ll find Ichabod’s memories of the American Revolution, thoughts about Abbie, Freemason puzzles, and photos and drawings. It will discuss creatures he and Abbie have faced and have clues about monsters yet to come. I can only hope there are essays about fist bumps and skinny jeans.
Children of the Revolution by Keith R.A. DeCandido features our favorite monster fighting duo as they race against another character we’ve met in the series. The witch Serilda is after Ichabod’s Congressional Cross for nefarious purposes, and Ichabod and Abbie have to stop her. Insert dramatic music here.
You can head to Sleepy Reads to pre-order both titles. Are you excited about the prospect of Sleepy Hollow books? Head to the comments and let us know.
