It’s the day before PAX Prime and the quiet before the storm. While I’m readying my body for the onslaught of gaming news that’ll come out of the gaming nerd convention, here’s what’s happening around the gaming-sphere.
Free Titanfall update adds mechless game mode.
Titanfall gets its latest expansion, and you don’t have to drop a heavy pile of coin to pick it up; it’s free! The sixth content update features a new mode called Pilot Skirmish, and one that players, like myself, have been longing for since day one. It features an eight on eight pilot match up, no Titans, no AI, just pure parkour shooting madness. I can’t wait to see how the dynamic of the game will change with this new mode. You can find a full list of Titanfall updates on the game’s official site. Expect the update to drop soon.
Square Enix and Disney release a new Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix trailer.
Sora, Goofy, and Donald Duck are back and they’re shinier than ever in this HD Remix. But wait, there’s more! We get a closer look at the game’s new enemies, new cutscenes, new episodes, new challenges, and a bunch of new in-game swag. Don’t take my word for it. Take a look at the trailer above.
Assassin’s Creed Unity delayed, but just by a little bit.
If you were hoping to scale walls and fall into piles of haystacks with your friends come Halloween, you’re going to have to wait a wee bit. Assassin’s Creed Unity has been pushed from October 28 to November 11. The game will now release alongside Assassin’s Creed Rogue, the AC title that will be released on old-gen platforms. The extra two weeks will hopefully help to polish up the game a little more befoer its full release for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Will you be picking up both Assassin’s Creed titles?
Xbox One’s September update rolls out a few days early.
Microsoft is rolling out their September Xbox One update a few days early, and it’ll feature a new media player app that will allow you to play music from your USB connected devices. Other updates include new and improved party leader capabilities, SmartGlass features, and more. Watch the video above for a full list of updates or you can stop by Major Nelson’s post here.
