Funko Is Visiting Stars Hollow with GILMORE GIRL Pop! Figures

Point your navigational system to Stars Hollow and get ready to see the first Gilmore Girls toys. Funko has snagged the license, and they’re bringing Lorelai and Rory Gilmore and Sookie St. James to vinyl with new Pop! figures. It’s perfect timing since Gilmore Girls is on fans’ brains more than usual thanks to Netflix’s upcoming revival, titled Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. But before you look ahead to the future of our beloved Gilmores, check out these figures from the past.

The Pop! designs pull inspiration from season one of the series. Rory’s donning her Chilton uniform, complete with saddle shoes and books under her arm. Lorelai’s rocking one of her more mild outfits (personally, I’d have gone with the ensemble she wore when she took Rory to her first day at Chilton) and holding a cup of Luke’s coffee–that’s my favorite Pop! accessory ever, by the way. And Sookie’s sporting her usual chef’s gear, including the cute handkerchief in her hair. I’m assuming the vinyl toy isn’t as clumsy as the character in the series. Take a look:

This is the perfect trio to start with, but I’m hoping they add more characters in the future. I need an Emily Gilmore Pop! (boy, she would loathe the idea of being turned into a plastic toy) and a Luke Danes Pop! like I need air.

The Gilmore Girls Pop! figures will hit shelves in December. As far as we know, they do not come will piles of junk food. Will you be purchasing the trio? Which characters do you hope they’ll add in the future? Tell me in the comments.
