Back in August, AMC revealed plans for a Fear The Walking Dead web series set on a plane that will introduce a new main character from the upcoming second season. And the premiere date is only six days away!
Fear The Walking Dead: Flight 462 will make its online premiere on Sunday, October 4, before running during one of the commercial breaks of The Walking Dead’s season six premiere. Each of Flight 462’s 16 installments will be about one minute long, and they will be played with every episode of The Walking Dead Season 6.
The storyline for Flight 462 takes place early in the outbreak that brought down civilization as a group of passengers on a commercial airline come to realize that one of the infected is onboard the plane. At least one of the characters will survive to become a series regular on Fear The Walking Dead in its second season. The first season of Fear The Walking Dead may have even hinted at this, as an airplane was seen in the sky during the initial outbreak earlier this season.
Fear The Walking Dead director of photography Michael McDonough is helming the Flight 462 web series from a script by L. Signorino and Mike Zunic.
In a statement, AMC’s head of original programming Joel Stillerman said, “We are thrilled to be collaborating with Dave Erickson and David Wiener on another piece of original content. Watching how they’ll bring one of these new characters to the second season of Fear will be really exciting for viewers to follow.”
The cast for Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462 has not yet been announced, but the photo posted above has the first glimpse of at least some of the potential candidates to make it off of the plane alive.
