The Star Wars: Force for Change campaign launched a new fundraising campaign on December 2nd: Force 4 Fashion. The initiative brings together the Force and fashion (hence the name Force 4 Fashion) for the sake of charity. Disney Consumer Products and Bloomingdale’s teamed up with a group of designers, and those designers came up with looks inspired by Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The designers debuted their looks at a launch event presented by Kay Jewelers in New York City, and Ashley Eckstein, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, and Lupita Nyong’o were in attendance to see the outfits–including ensembles influenced by Finn’s and Rey’s costumes.
Participating designers include Billy Reid, Cynthia Rowley, Diane von Furstenberg, Giles Deacon, Halston, Opening Ceremony, Ovadia & Sons, Parker, rag & bone, Timo Weiland, and Todd Snyder. Their work is now on display in the windows of Bloomingdale’s flagship store in New York and will be available to view until December 18. Star Wars window shopping is my kind of window shopping. Just look at these beauties:
And in case you were wondering, you have the chance to own these looks. The outfits are on the auction block at CharityBuzz.com. Proceeds from the auction benefit the Child Mind Institute.
Browse the gallery below to see more designs as well as some photos of Boyega and Ridley being adorable. Then head to the comments and let me know which outfit you like best. I’m all about the Phasma design by Giles Deacon. I don’t think I could wear it as well as Gwendoline Christie, but really, who could?
