The Tony Awards are nearly upon us, and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton has a record-setting 16 nominations. I’m relatively new to the phenomenon that is Hamilton; it was only about a month ago that I finally listened to the soundtrack. I was hoping to hear it first by seeing it on stage, but I realized my distance from New York, along with the steep ticket prices, was going to make that a challenge. So I devoted my heart and head to absorbing every word of the cast recording, and I was taken. Everything about the lyrics, the nuance, arrangements, and different styles is so smart it almost hurts. And even though I don’t write anything grand and certainly not anything that affects the formation of our country, I relate to someone who wrote his way into the spotlight. It moves me, pushes me, inspires me…
Tl;dr: I’m obsessed with Hamilton.
So, because of that and in honor of the Tony Awards, this week’s Fan Art Friday is #Ham4FanArt. I’ve gathered a handful of illustrations featuring Alexander Hamilton, the Schuyler Sisters, King George, and more. Some of them are from a project Arielle Jovellanos put together called #Ham4Pamphlet.

Arielle organized #Ham4Pamphlet after she was invited backstage at Hamilton. She asked 45 illustrators to create pieces inspired by each of the 46 tracks in the musical, then collected and printed them into limited edition books for the cast and crew.
See the complete #Ham4Pamphlet at Arielle’s website. And don’t forget to check out more Hamilton fan art in the gallery below.
Will you be tuning into the Tony Awards on Sunday to see Hamilton performances? How many awards do you think the show will take home? Talk to me in the comments and/or tweet your Hamilton fan art to me—@amy_geek.
