Look, Deadpool doesn’t play. When he says he loves chimichangas, he means it in the biggest, baddest, and boldest possible way. Regular-sized chimichangas, even dos manos? Please, that’s child’s play. Think bigger, think otherworldly, think mutant-sized.
Philadelphia’s Cantina Dos Segundos took Deadpool’s love of the deep-fried dish to new heights by inventing an over the top, super impressive Deadpool Poutine Chimichanga. You heard right: poutine. As in “give me all the fries and cheese curds I can handle before I pass out too late” poutine. I told you 2016 was the year of poutine and once it’s combined with Deadpool, there’s no end to its gravy-covered power.
This mutant monster of a meal is filled to the brim with braised short rib, french fries, black beans, and of course, lots and lots of fried cheese curds. Once that bad boy is deep fried to golden brown perfection, why stop there? Deadpool wouldn’t stop, so they just kept going. Piled high with bacon, pickled red onion, and jalapeño, this ode to all that is gut-busting is then served with a side of short rib au jus, topped with sour cream, scallions, and cilantro. Oh yeah, X gon’ give it to ya. Then heartburn gon’ give it to ya.
If you think this unwieldy beast is too much to handle, just grab a hold of your huevos and dive in. If it’s good enough for the Merc With The Mouth, it’s good enough for you. Enjoy your chimichanga.
