Despite what Taylor Swift may think, this summer’s music scene belongs to Dave Grohl and The Foo Fighters. The past month or so has proved why Grohl is a God among men in the world of rock n’ roll. Jimi Hendrix played a solo with his teeth, Jimmy Page played one with a cello bow, but Grohl shredded out a solo with the use of the boot on the end of his cast for his broken leg. The video comes from the July 6 show The Foo Fighters put on in Camden, New Jersey.
Early last month, Foo Fighters frontman, and ultimate badass, Dave Grohl broke his leg due to rocking too hard and falling off the stage. This would be enough for most people to end their set and take their leave, but not Grohl. The man was so dedicated to finishing the set for the fans who came to see them, he kept playing even as he had his leg splinted mid-concert.
They had to miss shows in London, but were back on stage soon after continuing their tour in America. Back on the Fourth of July, Grohl and the rest of the Fighters premiered his Rock Throne as a concert they put on in DC. Grohl boasted that the throne was his idea, which he thought of while strung-out on painkillers, and it truly is glorious. Now, with his newest contribution, Grohl deserves some sort of award for being the most hardcore dude out on tour this summer.
