Here’s what’s coming up this week at the Nerdist Podcast Network:
The Nerdist Podcast will welcome Jason Biggs and Michael Sheen (separately, that is). Jason talks about relationships, kids, the pitfalls of dark humor (and why some people can get away with it and others can’t), and embracing what you’re best known for (pie!). And, yes, rest assured, Underworld is discussed in the Michael Sheen episode. But so is Michael’s father’s unusual occupation. And old-school laserdiscs.
Pete’s talking with Rob Corddry on You Made It Weird. There might even be a bonus YMIW again this week. Also, I guess Janet Varney’s not done interviewing the Boys of Summer yet, because this week on The J.V. Club, she’s got Keegan-Michael Key. He’s worth extending the “Summer” motif for, I’d say.
John Lehr and Nancy Hower created TBS’ sitcom 10 Items or Less, and then they created the improvised “Western procedural” sitcom Quick Draw for Hulu. They talk about the hows and whys and everything else on this week’s Nerdist Writers Panel. And on Nerdist Comics Panel, it’s a great panel on the animation industry with cartoon writer, historian, critic, and Comic-Con fixture Mark Evanier joining Adam Beechen (Transformers: Robots in Disguise), Shannon Denton (Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes), Neo Edmunds (Kaijudo), Jason Spisak (Young Justice) and Heath Corson (Justice League: Throne of Atlantis) at Phoenix ComicCon. Listen and learn.
Clarke’s putting together the latest Sleepycast for all you Sleepy Hollow fans, too, with more Season 1 recaps and more inside stuff in interviews with Alex Kurtzman, Melissa Blake, Damian Kindler, Orlando Jones, and more. Look for that on Tuesday morning. And I know that Dave Ross will have comedian Ron Babcock on Friday’s Terrified.
And there’s going to be a lot more, but we’re in the process of baking it up all fresh for you, so tune in however you do it, via iTunes, RSS, or right here at Nerdist.com.
