Five years. Five years! The Nerdist Podcast has been around for five years — you Nerdist historians will remember that the guys showed up at Thomas Lennon’s house on Super Bowl Sunday in 2010 and started it all. And on Monday night at NerdMelt Showroom in Los Angeles, Chris, Jonah, and Matt will be celebrating with a Fifth Anniversary live hostful episode, which will be the highlight of the coming week on the Nerdist Podcast Network. As one of the original Nerdist folks, I can’t wait.
It’s just one of the gems awaiting you at the Nerdist Podcast Network, though. Also coming up on the Nerdist Podcast this week will be Nick Kroll, making his third appearance on the show — the last season of Comedy Central’s Kroll Show is underway, and on Nerdist, he talks about ending a show while it’s still successful, fitness and Matt’s resemblance to him, and the Oakwood Apartments.
Nathan Willett and Matt Schwartz of Cold War Kids stop by the Nerdist Podcast, too, and somehow it involves the theme to Mr. Belvedere, TV, living the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, and the state of the music industry, with a plug for a label they think is doing great stuff, Superior Viaduct.
After last week’s live, guest-filled episode, Kumail and Emily take it down to the basics with just the two of them talking video games on The Indoor Kids. And do not miss the really hilarious Megan Amram on Terrified with Dave Ross.
You’ll hear Kelly Carlin on The Todd Glass Show, Joe Sib on Today We Learned, and Sirens co-creators Bob Fisher and Kevin Figley on Nerdist Writers Panel. And more, so much more, lots more. So much that we don’t even know what’s coming.
Be surprised with us. Go to the Nerdist Podcast Network homepage to listen and subscribe, and also join us at the Nerdist Podcast Network Facebook page. And join us in celebrating five years of the Nerdist Podcast. Hey, where’s the cake? There HAS to be cake.
