Comic-Con: Tom Cruise and Chris Hardwick Duet

Hey, you’ve heard by now that Tom Cruise dropped by the Comic-Con panel for his next movie Edge of Tomorrow, surprising moderator Chris Hardwick. And you’ve heard that they ended up singing a duet, because they both played the same part in Rock of Ages. Well, there’s video, courtesy of our friends over at Geek Nation, and here’s that segment. You can see the full panel at geeknation.com/videos/sdcc-13-edge-of-tomorrow-panel/. Go do that, too.

I must agree Krissy – I had to watch this a few times because it was such a funny, obviously non-planned, moment. I’m not a big TC fan – he seems like a bit (read a lot) of a jerk to me – but this gave the vibe that he me have his ok moments amongst the douchery.

I didn’t realise that RoA was a play prior to being made into a movie, but now I really wish I’d seen the play.

So I’m listening to another podcast this morning (Mark & Lynda) and they play this clips….and Mark decided Chris smoked Tom. I couldn’t agree more although I know it was all in good fun.

  3. Krissy Lenz says:

this is my new favorite thing that’s ever happened.

    20+ Charisma Hardwick. Nice.

  5. MIschaD says:

Cutest thing ever was Hardwick turning BRIGHT red! The dueling Stacee Jaxxes made my day!

There needs to be a RoA Celebrity Bowling! The movie cast vs. Chris’s original cast! Would spontaneous musical numbers suddenly eclipse the bowling or would we have an 8 minute remake of Grease 2 on our hands?

Wow, that’s sorta kinda super awesome.

Annnnd you can see the very instant that Chris flop-sweats through his Booker Dewitt outfit due to embarrasment(?). 😳 😆

Then turns around and BRINGS IT with the bromance serenade. That was epic.

  8. Oh and I believe Hall H is now officially Hall Hardwick…

  9. Chris really lived the life at SDCC this year. WTG! Now that he and Tom Cruise are BFF’s can we expect a podcast???
