Mark May 25 on your calendar. Go ahead, I’ll wait. Why is that Thursday so special? It’s when NBC is celebrating Red Nose Day. For the third year in a row, the network is focusing on the campaign that raises money and awareness for children living in poverty. They’re going bigger and better in 2017 with a three-hour block that will end with The Red Nose Day Special, and they’ve tapped none other than Chris Hardwick to host said special. I don’t know about you, but I think that fella’s going to go places.
What’s coming up this year? The main event is The Red Nose Day Special because it will feature a short film sequel to Love Actually called Red Nose Day Actually. Think of the joy of seeing Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Jojen Reed (Thomas Brodie-Sangster) back in their roles from the 2003 film. Here’s a taste of what’s ahead:
The Love Actually short is only one part of the Red Nose Day festivities. The programming block will also feature the first ever celebrity edition of American Ninja Warrior, plus Running Wild with Bear Grylls for Red Nose Day featuring Julia Roberts. Viewers will have opportunities to support Red Nose Day with donations throughout the night.
The Red Nose Day Special will air on May 25 at 10:00p.m. ET/PT. Jump to the comments and let me know how much you’re looking forward to the Love Actually short film sequel.
