Around these parts, Wil Wheaton is a bit of a legend. A very good friend of our own Chris Hardwick, formerly Wesley Crusher of Star Trek: The Next Generation, host of Geek & Sundry‘s TableTop, an avid beer brewer and an all-around swell dude, Wil is one of those genuinely engaged people who will gladly chat with you about whatever is on your mind. I found that out firsthand during this week’s episode of Celebrity Playlist, while talking to the famous nerd about all the music he likes to rock out to during extended board game matches, the tracks that remind him of Star Trek, and the jams he plays with his son while they brew beer.
What may not come across in this edited three-minute video is Wil’s unbelievable memory and ability to rhapsodize in great detail about where he was when certain songs were playing throughout his entire life. This shoot was forty-five minutes of me listening to Wil recount all the times he has blasted Iron Maiden while playing board games in his spare time. We also specifically noticed that the covers of Iron Maidens records would make great artwork for an iteration of Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Duel at Mt. Skullzfyre. Wil’s selections are great–no surprise there–and I highly recommend you check out the Oingo Boingo track he picked as well.
Thanks for tuning in to another episode of Celebrity Playlist, dudes! Be sure to check out last week’s episode for which Adam Carolla sat down with us to make us a playlist that every responsible parent should play for their kids. We’ll see you beautiful people next week.
