BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, Imagined As a LucasArts Adventure Game

LucasArts brought us hours of gameplay with their memorable titles, and those titles included several point and click adventure games. They pretty much nailed that medium of storytelling in games with releases such as Maniac Mansion. Now, imagine a world where that type of LucasArts game is mixed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Yes, it is as wonderful as it sounds.

Illustrator Andrew Scaife created art that imagines some sample screenshots from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer adventure, and if I had the funds, I would rehire everyone from LucasArts right away and have them work on making this game a reality. Scaife pulls inspiration from different episodes for each shot, and if the “Use broken crayon” option from “Grave” doesn’t make your heart melt, you may need to get your ticker checked.

Who else wants to play this game immediately?

  2. Beyond awesome and I’d totally play it! Granted, I just replayed The Pandora Directive in anticipation of the new Tex Murphy game, so I’m obviously a die hard fan of the Point-&-Click / Exploration Adventure… Where’s my Woodruff & the Schnibble reboot?! 😛

PS: Speaking of Whedon inspired fare, really looking forward to Firefly Online soon!!!

WE GOT A TRUE BUFFY FAN, HERE! This artist picked some really great locations and moments for his “sample screenshots!” I see the Library, The Bronze, Slayerfest ’98, Hush, The Magic Box, “Yellow Crayon Moment,” and the Slayer Scythe! I’m amazed and wish this was real. Will definitely be talking about it on my Buffy-themed YouTube Channel! Check it out if you’re a Buffy fan: http://www.youtube.com/oncemorewithlingling

Wow…! I’m not the biggest Buffy fan, but I do love me an old-school point-and-clicker from LucasArts. I’d play the hell out of this!
