Have you been able to collect yourself after the that magnificent Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer? Hopefully so, because we have yet another Star Wars-related reason for you to lose your s***. It looks like the release date for Star Wars: Battlefront may have been hidden in the official website’s source code, and the game is set to release on November 17 of this year. If you visit the “news & media” section on the game’s webpage and check out its source code now, you’ll notice this Easter egg hidden within the sea of characters:
For those who can’t quite find the point of interest, it reads, “The latests news and updates for Star Wars Battlefront. Available November 17, 2015 for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.” Looks pretty legit to me! Perhaps what we’re seeing in the code is a part of the Battlefront goodness set to be unveiled this weekend.
EA was already set to announce more details about Star Wars Battlefront tomorrow during Star Wars Celebration, at 10:30 am PT. We haven’t seen anything on Star Wars Battlefront since E3, and still have yet to see any gameplay. Here’s to hoping we’ll get to see the game in action, but if anything, at least we know that the game will be hitting store shelves in November.
