Silently lurking behind the clamor of this holiday’s video game releases is the delayed yet still highly anticipated Batman: Arkham Knight. The game was originally supposed to launch back in October, but was moved to 2015 so Rocksteady could put a little more time into smoothing the game’s edges. (They also likely wanted to get the game away from this year’s congested holiday season.) We have to commend Warner Bros. Interactive for this tactful decision– Shadow of Mordor was quite arguably the best game of the year, and that’s all the publisher needed to get fans to hold them in high regard. Add on the fact that Batman: Arkham Knight will release nearly uncontested as far as AAA titles go, and you’ve got yourself a recipe for Bat-success.
Today, Warner Bros. Interactive dusted off its PR efforts and released a new gameplay trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight showing of some of the game’s excellent visuals, lots of Bat-gliding, some Batmobile loveliness, and of course, some glorious combat. Check it all out for yourself right below:
Batman: Arkham Knight is set to release on June 2, 2015 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
