In Arkham Asylum, Batman was trapped in the asylum by the Joker, and forced to face Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Bane, Killer Croc, and other villains before confronting the Clown Prince of Crime. In Arkham City, Batman contended with a larger group of villains including the Riddler, Two-Face, Mr. Freeze, The Penguin, and Hugo Strange as the insanity of Arkham Asylum was transplanted into Gotham City itself.
