Well this is just a bucket of wonderful. A German art student by the name of Julius von Bismarck*, seen here looking particularly arty, has invented a device that can throw images into the photographs of unsuspecting jerks, who only become suspecting when they develop their pictures. He calls it the "Fulgurator," from the Latin word for "lightning." (How precious! Latin!! Talk about inking the navigation charts on the SS Pretentious…) In any case, it’s a pretty ingenious thingamabob that he admits will probably be yoinked by Big Advertisting. Beam here to read the full interview by Charlie Sorrell at Wired: Gadget Lab.
No word yet on whether or not the Fulgurator will attract legal action from the Wonka estate or Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium.
* "Julius von Bismarck" was GOING to be the name of my experimental Deutschpunk band. I guess I’m left with "Gaydolf Shitler."
