This Infinity Mirror Guitar Is a Psychedelic Escape

There’s no better time than now to escape reality, and go to a psychedelic world full of beautiful lights and sounds. And while we can’t recommend illicit substances—unless anyone has some of that Compound V—we can recommend this new video from YouTuber and mysterious craftsperson, Burls Art. The video features (eventually, anyway), an infinity mirror guitar that will have you drifting off into space in no time.

Laughing Squid picked up on Burls’ new video, which shows the whole build process for the infinity mirror guitar. Burls says in the video that he decided to make this guitar in this particular style because he’d been seeing a lot of other cool infinity mirror stuff; including infinity mirror coffee tables and picture frames.

The guitar itself is not only psychedelic, but cleanly crafted with smooth, silver wood and clear acrylic. Inside the body of the guitar are LED lights that bounce off a pair of mirrors, creating the infinity effect. And the lights not only change color, but can be made to do so via an app. (Although, to be fair, what on Earth doesn’t have its own app at this point?)

This infinity mirror guitar will provide the psychedelic escape you need right now.

As with all of Burls’ other guitars, this one sounds incredibly smooth. His own demonstration begins just after the eight-minute mark in the video, and the melodious sounds will instantly drift you away. If you let them, that is.

Speaking of drifting off, if you’re looking for more soothing content that’ll help to chill you out, may we recommend Chris Hemsworth’s goofy guided meditations. Or perhaps J.B. Smoove’s, if you’re looking to both relax and laugh. You can also, of course, always just watch some more of Burls’ videos. Because even when he’s making hardcore acoustic guitars out of carbon fiber, they sound like a mellow dream.

This infinity mirror guitar will provide the psychedelic escape you need right now.
