You guys, I don’t care what anyone says, LEGO is fun. I feel like I’m probably pretty alone on that and nobody plays with, builds, or enjoys anything having to do with the Danish bricks, but I’ll go out on a limb and say they’re great. Except, everybody loves LEGO and can’t get enough of them and today is Opposite Day. When LEGO matches up with a recognizable product–specifically Star Wars–that stuff is unstoppable. LEGO and Toys ‘R’ Us have been offering fans of The Force Awakens a series of prequel shorts that give context and offer humor.
The most recent one–above–features our old pal Rey back when she was still a scavenger living on Jakku doing little besides gather junk and try to get paid by Unkar Plutt. But Rey’s always been a tough cookie and doesn’t take Unkar’s guff, nor the guff of his plant Kevin. The bloated alien portion-giver sends a couple of thugs to get Rey’s speeder which leads to a silly and exciting chase, complete with a moment where those Scottish pirate guys come to retrieve the Millennium Falcon!
This is the fourth of the shorts. Previously we told you about the first such short, which featured Poe Dameron and C-3PO.
There have also been two adventures featuring Han Solo and Chewbacca, because we truly can never get enough of those. The first shows how the pair obtained those damn Rathtars…
And the second has the scurvy pirate Bala Tik meeting with Maz Kanata to trade, but really looking for Solo…
We’ll keep you in the know for any future LEGO Star Wars shorts, and please tell us your favorite in the comments below!
