A Peek At “The Gamer’s Guide to Wreck-It Ralph”

ralph_blu-rayThe Blu-ray Combo Pack of Wreck-It Ralph is available today, and besides the fact that it is a tremendously entertaining movie with a high rewatchability — is that a word? — quotient, it also features a great extra bonus, Chris Hardwick providing background on all the gaming references and hidden homages in the movie when you hit “pause.” It adds an entirely different dimension to the film. Plus, there are “commercials” for the games in the movie, alternate and deleted scenes with Rich Moore commentary, and a short about the creation of the worlds in the movie. Oh, and the Academy Award-winning short Paperman that preceded the main feature in its theatrical run? It’s here, too.

The intermission feature is kinda a neat idea…except how it can’t seem to be shut off.

  2. Fixed the link. Couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working until I saw one tiny little letter missing in the code. One letter! Gah!

    But it works now.

Just for the “Wreck-ord”, (Bad pun – deal with it, Internet.) for people buying the Ultimate Collector’s Edition”,the “Disney Intermission: The Gamer’s Guide to Wreck-It Ralph” feature is only on the 2D Blu-ray (i.e. it is not on the 3D Blu-ray version).

The link for “buy the Ultimate Collector’s Edition Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Combo Pack here via Amazon” is broken.
