The Power Rangers are coming back to the big screen early next year, and that means it’s just a matter of time before the modern day “teenagers with attitude” start yelling things like “Mastodon! Pterodactyl! Triceratops! Sabertooth tiger! Tyrannosaurus!” Now, we finally have a good look at the new Sabertooth Tiger Battle Zord, and holy Bulk and Skull, does that thing look big! It’s gonna crush Angel Grove long before any of Rita’s monsters get there. Just how huge is that Zord? Find out on today’s Nerdist News!
Join Nerdist News host and Angel Grove’s favorite defender, Jessica Chobot, as she calculates the astounding height of the new Sabertooth Tiger Zord. The newest poster for Power Rangers debuted on ComicBook.com, and it gave the spotlight to the Sabertooth Tiger Zord, while presumably paving the way for the other Zords to be fully revealed in their own posters. We can see a little bit of the Tyrannosaurus Rex and Pterodactyl Zords underneath all of that convenient California smog.
But seriously, that is like, ridiculously huge. If this poster was to scale, the Yellow Ranger would be a giant! You can actually see her in the cockpit of the Zord, and she’s about the size of one of those trees in this pic. Either this movie is gonna have some insane size dimensions, or else someone at Lionsgate got a little carried away with the scale of this poster. We’re betting on the latter, but we’ll find out for sure when Power Rangers hits theaters on March 24, 2017.
